The award is based on an independent evaluation of a product’s material health, reutilisation, renewable energy, water stewardship and social fairness†.
Tate’s raised access floors were awarded the silver certification for the brand’s social fairness and material reutilisation.
The assessment was conducted by Eco Intelligent Growth before being submitted to the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Products Programme.
The award reinforces Tate’s status as an industry leader in the manufacture, supply and installation of raised access flooring solutions, epitomised by its work in supporting the acceleration of a transition to the circular economy within the sector.
Tate’s achievements within the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Products Programme marks another step in its ambition to achieve the sustainability objectives that were set out within Kingspan Group’s pioneering Planet Passionate initiative. These objectives are focused on energy, carbon, water, and circularity, and form part of a transformative pathway set out by Kingspan to design and make products that will positively impact on people and the planet.
Tate’s Divisional Sustainability Director, Peter Kelly, said:
Achieving Cradle to Cradle Certified® at the silver level for our key raised access flooring solutions is testament to the progress and dedication of our team to improve the sustainability of our entire portfolio of access flooring solutions.
